ARBITRATION
Family Law Act 1995 has required all parents seeking a Part VII order, provisions dealing with the best interests of the child in court proceedings, to first attempt to resolve their dispute by family dispute resolution before applying for a parenting order.

Family dispute resolution (section 10F) is a process in which a “family dispute resolution practitioner” helps people facing separation or divorce to resolve their disputes.

Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner (section 10G) is usually a person who is accredited as a family dispute resolution practitioner under the Accreditation Rules

Family Dispute Resolution (FDR) process requires experienced and accredited FDR practitioners to provide certification that parties can use in court.
